Leduc Square Dance is the online presence of the Happy Homesteaders Square Dance Club, founded in September 1981 in New Sarepta with the first club dance held in October, 1981. The club adopted a covered wagon logo, and chose royal blue, white, and crimson as club colours. When the club first started, uniforms were all the rage. The ladies had royal blue skirts, white blouses, and red belts, while the men wore royal blue pants with cuffs, white shirts, red ties, and red suspenders.
Today, we have modernized in step with the times, focusing on inclusivity, relaxed attire, and a welcoming atmosphere. While traditional costumes are still a fun option for those who enjoy them, members are now encouraged to wear any clothing that keeps them comfortable and expressive—all that's required are shoes suited for dancing. The club continues to embody "Friendship, Fitness & Fun!" with vibrant community events, beginner-friendly lessons, and social opportunities after every dance. With an emphasis on connection and enjoyment, the Happy Homesteaders have become a lively group where everyone feels at home, blending tradition with modern charm.
